Is it morally correct 4 the director 2 bring an actor's potential replacement 2 a closed rehearsal unannounced?

I was late for TWO rehearsal warm ups that I arrived already warmed up for because of the same family emergency each time which the director knew of. The third time I was late I called to tell the stage manager as I had always done and when I arrived, there was my potential replacement sitting in to watch the performance. He introduced her to everyone before I got there and my cast mates were like "its like she's judging your acting ability... Laughing when you cry". I KNOW I can act as I've done it professionally for so long. Anywhoo, this is an old question. Just wondering if I'll get better answers since I've added more detail.
