Should i tell the guy i'm in love with that i still am after a year in ahalf now?

So i talked with this guy for over a year and fell in love with him.......well he decided the distance between us was too much (45minutes) for him....so he dated this girl Roxann for awhile afterwards and i tried dating other guys and even tried convincing myself that i loved another guy....which didn't work at all, this guy wasn't my first love he was what i call my first real love, and I just can't get him out of my mind, like were friends still and he is talking to me more and more since roxanne and him broke up, i just don't know if i should tell him i still love him even after all this time....idk plaease help someone....
