With this tomato/jalapeno/cilantro scare should I use canned fruits and veggies for my baby's food?

I'd stick with fresh or frozen (and yes they do make frozen fruit, usually by the frozen desserts) except for tomatoes, peppers (I don't think it's just jalapenos) and cilantro. Also look at where they came from because the salmonella scare is from Mexico so anything that's locally grown should be fine. Canned would be okay for veggies but they always add sugar to canned fruit so I'd stay away from that. Your mangoes are fine. When in doubt, buy local produce at a Farmer's Market.
