If you stay around people of a certain faith long enough, will you become one of them?

psychologists say if you stay around people long enough you'll start to mimic their behavior; does this also apply to religious attitudes? for example if you were surrounded by atheists all the time at work, even though you were born and raised a stout Christian, wouldn't their lack of faith eventually rub off on you? would you become atheist, not because of any validity in the concept itself, but because of your constant ociation with other atheists?
